Feed Scarborough Food Drive
At Bristol Car and Truck Rentals, our commitment to our community and philanthropy shines through the remarkable efforts of our dedicated staff. In a recent initiative, the entire team enthusiastically participated in a month-long Food Drive, exemplifying the spirit of generosity that defines our organization. We couldn’t be prouder of our team.
Jesse Carter, our Operations Manager for the area, and Rosina Di Francesco, Location Manager, and Nisant Alluri, Customer Service Rep, represented our team by delivering our collection of non-perishable items to “Feed Scarborough.” This commendable organization plays a pivotal role in empowering the Scarborough community by offering innovative solutions to poverty reduction, ensuring dignified access to food. Beyond their on-site food bank, Feed Scarborough manages a canteen and a mobile community food program, addressing the multifaceted challenges associated with food insecurity.
To amplify the impact of our staff’s contributions, Bristol Car & Truck Rentals announced we would extend the giving spirit into an additional monetary contribution. With this contribution, we matched the food donations made by our employees with a generous donation to the Agincourt Community Services Association (ACSA). ACSA is at the forefront of addressing an array of societal challenges stemming from systemic poverty, including hunger, precarious housing, homelessness, unemployment, inaccessibility, and social isolation in the community.
Rosina Di Francesco, representing our Bristol Truck Rental in Markham, personally handed over the monetary donation to a representative from ACSA, embodying our commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those facing adversity. As we navigate the holiday season, we encourage everyone to join us in supporting these impactful organizations. For those inspired to contribute or learn more about Feed Scarborough and ACSA, detailed information can be found at https://scarboroughfoodsecurityinitiative.com/home. Together, let’s double the giving and foster a spirit of compassion that transcends beyond the festive season.
